What Calendar Copy Cat collects, why it is used, and the choices available to you.
Effective and last updated: September 3, 2026
Who controls your information
The individual operating Calendar Copy Cat is the controller of the account, schedule, preference, and activity information described here. The operator’s identity and privacy contact are intentionally not published during pre-launch testing and are flagged below for completion before launch. We use service providers to run authentication, hosting, storage, and schedule parsing. This policy applies worldwide, with the additional regional rights below.
Information we collect
- Account information supplied through Firebase Authentication, such as a stable account identifier, email address, display name, and sign-in provider.
- Files, screenshots, calendar links, schedule text, and Gmail messages or attachments that you specifically choose to submit for parsing or style learning.
- Parsed items, edits, rules, preferences, drafts, connected-calendar details, activity history, plan and usage records.
- Technical and security information such as request time, coarse network identifiers transformed into short-lived hashes, device/browser data supplied in requests, and error or abuse-prevention records.
Why we use it
We use information to provide the service, authenticate users, parse schedules, save and sync work, send items to calendars or approved recipients, remember user choices, enforce limits, prevent fraud and abuse, support users, comply with law, and improve reliability. Depending on location, our legal bases include performing our contract with you, legitimate interests in security and service operation, consent where specifically requested, and legal obligations.
Uploads, email, and AI processing
Uploads and selected Gmail content are sent for processing only when you ask us to scan or learn from them. Gmail access is read-only: Calendar Copy Cat cannot change or delete your email. Calendar Copy Cat does not intentionally keep the original upload or email content after that processing request finishes. Parsed results, learned preferences, drafts, and history may be saved to your account until you delete them or your account. You should remove information that is not needed and submit another person’s information only when you have authority to do so.
Sharing and processors
We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We disclose data only as needed to providers that support the service, including Google Firebase for authentication, OpenAI for schedule processing, Cloudflare/Sites for hosting and storage, and Google or Microsoft when you explicitly connect their email or calendar services. Information can also be disclosed to comply with law, protect users, or complete a corporate transaction subject to appropriate protections.
International transfers
Providers may process information in countries other than your own, including the United States. Where required, we use contractual or other recognized safeguards and assess transfer risks. Connected calendar providers process data under their own terms and privacy policies.
Retention and security
Original uploads are designed to be processed transiently. Account content remains until you delete individual items or your account, unless a shorter period is shown in the product. Security and billing records may be retained for a limited period needed for fraud prevention, disputes, accounting, and law. We use access controls, encryption in transit, encrypted calendar credentials at rest, scoped authorization, request validation, and abuse controls. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.
Cookies and local storage
Authentication and security may use essential cookies controlled by the hosting or sign-in platform. Calendar Copy Cat uses browser storage for local preferences and continuity. We do not currently use advertising cookies or cross-site behavioral tracking. If optional analytics or marketing technology is added, we will provide any notice and consent controls required in your location before using it.
Your choices and rights
You can access and edit saved items, disconnect calendars, delete history, and delete your Calendar Copy Cat account from Account. Depending on your location, you may also request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection; withdraw a consent without affecting earlier processing; and complain to a privacy regulator.
- European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland: you may exercise applicable GDPR-style data-subject rights and complain to your local supervisory authority.
- California and other U.S. states: you may request to know, access, correct, or delete covered information and receive equal service for exercising rights. Because we do not sell personal information or share it for behavioral advertising, there is no sale/sharing opt-out to apply.
- Canada: you may request access or correction, challenge compliance, and withdraw consent where processing depends on consent, subject to legal limits.
- Australia: you may request access or correction and make a privacy complaint.
- Japan and other applicable Asian jurisdictions: you may request disclosure, correction, cessation of use, or deletion when local law provides those rights.
A verified privacy-request channel will be published before launch. We may verify identity before acting. We aim to acknowledge complaints promptly and respond within 30 days, or the period required by local law. If you are dissatisfied, you may contact the regulator in your region.
Children
The service is intended for adults aged 18 or older and is not directed to children. Do not submit children’s personal information unless you are legally authorized and the use is appropriate.
Changes
We will update the effective date and request a new acknowledgment when a material policy change requires it. Important changes may also be shown inside the service.
